Let's Get Personal

You Got an Internal GPS

You Got an Internal GPS

In October 2018 I suffered my very first heart break. I had been with my partner for about 5 years and had plans for marriage and building a family. I had created all these plans in my head and one morning they were all gone. Vanished. Disappeared. It felt like the death of a dream. Of course, I felt devastated, confused, angry, and sometimes in denial. I went through all the stages of grief. This was my first encounter with pain and I couldn’t recognize myself because I was depressed. I felt like I was falling into this black hole...

What I Learned from Hiking the Salkantay Trail

What I Learned from Hiking the Salkantay Trail

I hiked the Salkantay Trail in Peru in 2016 and it forever changed me. My friend and I flew to Peru and decided to hike the Salkantay Trail over the Inca Trail for its beauty and for its challenges. I was ready to kick-ass and complete the 55-mile hike! The first two days I did pretty well with the altitude change. Didn’t feel much but on the day of the longest hike everything changed. I invite everyone to read it, even if you're not a feminist or if you're a Trump supporter. One thing that I've been doing lately to become more tolerant and a more open minded person is following Trump supporters on Twitter and see what they have to say. I want to learn about their fears, I want to read about their opinions and I want to know their logic behind it. One thing I've noticed so far is that we have more in common than we think. We all have our families, friends, and pets that we love. Times are hard and I'm just the type of person that tries to find the silver lining in everything. So please do read the poem, it is powerful!

Why I'm a Feminist

Why I'm a Feminist

In the beginning stages of creating my business I wanted it to really reflect me. And what am I? I am a lot of things but one of my main characteristics is the love and admiration I have for women. Ever since I was a kid, women have always captivated me (especially my mother) because they're truly the embodiment of unconditional love, intelligence, patience, sacrifice, hard-work, and so many other wonderful things that if I named them all, this short writing would turn into a book. So, I was trying to find a way to integrate my admiration for women...
