Hasta La Raíz

For years, the story of Mexico has been filtered through distant eyes, misunderstood and misplaced.

But here, among the various artists of Oaxaca, the truth lives and rumbles — in their spirit and in the soul of their work. The Hasta La Raíz Collection is a journey back to my roots, where heritage breathes through creation itself.

I felt myself soften like barro — clay shaped by music, art, and food in every corner. I spent days observing, reflecting, and reconnecting with the heart of my heritage, with what has always been mine yet felt so far. 

Hasta La Raíz is my refusal to let others define Mexico.

It is a reclamation of truth and love.

Each piece was handcrafted in collaboration with Mexican artisans. I chose brass and tambuga frames not only for their beauty, but for what they represent: survival, inheritance, and ingenuity. They are symbols of what I inherited and what I must protect.

This collection is my way of resisting the incomplete narrative of Mexico and telling my own story, from la raíz, from the root, with honesty, beauty, and dignity. 

Because the right to tell your own story is power, and it is where freedom begins.
